So... the same ref that did quarter final first leg between Arsenal and Liverpool with the Kuyt/Hleb controversy. We predict a 1 vs 1 result, with 4 yellows and and a average rating of 3.

Got the penalty decision right! Doing a great job so far and not giving in to the local pressure. Plus Modric scored, which is great!

You are right devron, definite penalty. We got the score wrong, but the Yellow's right! We think Vink had a good game, started looking tired near the end, but kept it flowing well overall.

Thought Vink did well, although not pushed, but not so sure about the linesman, think it was Inia, he seems to struggle to keep up with the play and got a couple of decisions wrong. Hope Vink will have a word with him

He would NEVER had given the penalty if it would have been against Italy or France. He should have been suspended after his Arsenal vs. Liverpool performance. He is the kind of ref, who spoils soccer.

He awarded the penalty OK, But after that he had a different criteria regarding fouls for Austria and Croatia. Maybe because Austria is host. You can see many cases where yellow card was due, but it was not given. Sometimes, a second yellow card would close the game. This had a consequence that Austrians had no fear to play rough, while Croatians couldn't because they were punished for the sme thing. This is why Croatian team lost the energy, because it is very difficult to wrestle comebody for 90 minutes. If Mr Vink wanted to do just a little bit more for the Austrian side he would have to score a goal for them himself.
