Pablo Pozo (born March 27, 1973) is a Chilean football referee. He referees in the Primera DivisiĆ³n de Chile. In 2008 Pozo refereed in the Beijing Olympics and the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan. Pozo has also been pre-selected as one of 38 referees from around the world who could possibly referee in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Most recently, he handed out a controversial red card to Ricardo Clark of the United States Men's National Team vs. Italy in the 2009 Confederations Cup, causing the U.S. side to play a man down for the final 60 minutes against the World Champions. Pozo has been selected to officiate at this summer's World Cup, and will be in charge of the match between Algieria and Slovenia on Sunday, 13 June.
